Well, well, well...are we wearing our rose-tinted classes or are beautiful ladies, decadent hors d'oeuvres, savory cocktails, and philanthropy all coming together once again for a wonderful cause?
Yes, Chicago, you are not wearing your lenses a la rose but instead PdM is proud to announce that Tickled Pink for Bright Pink is back for its 9th year soiree, this time at Block 37 Chicago! Chicago has been painted pink for the city’s most sought-after party for a great cause: Bright Pink. Per the industry norm, this event is bringing together some of Chicago's trendies social-circuit insiders for a VIP celebration encouraging folks to take control of both breast and ovarian health. This year's fundraising goal is to raise $100k! This year the beloved charity event is shaking things up, adding a culinary twist by hosting 50 of the city’s top restaurants at chef tasting tables including Davanti Enoteca, Moto, Purple Pig, and Sunda. If you thought that was opulent, wait until you hear what's next! Guests will sip delicious cocktails including the famous Tickled Pink-tini, nosh on hors d'oeuvres by Paramount Events and some of Chicago’s best restaurants, and enjoy live music by the Chicago Players and DJs from Fig Media. For the first time ever, Tickled Pink will host a pop up art gallery featuring the work of award-winning local artist Bryant Johnson. Johnson has developed a formula for capturing images that combine passion, perfection and a love for photography. A portion of the proceeds will be donated back to Bright Pink. WHEN: Friday, February 28, 2014 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. WHERE: New Location! Block 37 108 N. State Street - Chicago COST: Tickets are $95. Purchase online at www.tickledpinkchicago.com About Tickled Pink In February 2004, Carrie Kenney lost her seven year battle with breast cancer at the age of 35. One year later, her cousin, Jodi Fyfe gathered a group of close friends and colleagues to start Tickled Pink Chicago in honor of Carrie. Carrie was a fun-loving, young woman who was diagnosed at the age of 27. After Carrie's death at the tragically young age of 35, Jodi was determined to keep her cousin’s fun-loving spirit alive. Jodi began by forming a team for a 2004 breast cancer walk but she wanted to find another way to remember the vibrant, fun-loving person who inspired her so much…and so Tickled Pink was born! In February 2005, Tickled Pink threw its first party and raised $35,000! Every year the party and team of individuals that came together to celebrate those affected by breast cancer has grown and to date has raised more than $1,000,000.
