CHICAGO - Welcome spring and all its glory with Le Prestige du Monde (PdM) and Kahlo Salon as they celebrate their first boutique benefit, Bienvenue Printemps, on April 18th from 7pm-10pm. Join the highly-anticipated rendezvous as designers, haute models, media insiders, and local businesses come together for fun, fashion, and philanthropy.

Proceeds from the evening's decadence will benefit the American Diabetes Association and will include special notable guests wearing haute couture by La Chambre d'Anit, including:

$15 donation ($20 at the door) will include access to succulent champagne, savory wine by Aged 2 Perfection, and spirits along with catered cuisine from diverse, notable Chicago restaurants, including Cedar's Mediterranean Cuisine, The Bungalow Cafe, Phil Stefani Signature Restaurants, Noodles and Company, Chipotle, and Couture Cakes and Decadence provided by Sandy Cakes!

CHICAGO - On April 13rh, 2013, over 400 of Chicago’s top young professionals
will gather for a spectacular evening for of dining, dancing, and entertainment high above
the Chicago River and the Magnificent Mile when the Junior Board of Mercy Home for
Boys & Girls
holds its 6th annual Have Mercy! spring gala at Trump International Hotel
and Towers Chicago
, 401 N. Wabash, from 8:00 p.m. to midnight. All of the proceeds
from the event will support Mercy Home’s Legacy of Learning campaign, an initiative to
guarantee access to a great education for every child in its care.

Have Mercy! guests will enjoy:

Mercy Home for Boys & Girls (www.mercyhome.org) has been a solution for kids in
crisis since 1887. Through its residential, aftercare, and mentoring programs, Mercy
Home offers a safe home, emotional healing, education, and life-changing opportunities
for more than 600 young people every year. It gives children who have suffered abuse,
neglect, poverty and even abandonment the therapeutic, academic and vocational
support they need to heal from the traumas of their pasts and build success for their
futures. Mercy Home is 99.7% privately funded and operates at two locations in Chicago
– a home for boys in the West Loop neighborhood, and a home for girls in Beverly.

CHICAGO - On Sunday, April 7th, 2013 the Verismo Opera Theater (VOT) will present OperaRocks 2013: An Unconventional Classical Gala at Monastero's Ristorante and Banquets. The high-energy, much-anticipated event is produced by the wonderful Miss Heart of Illinois 2013 Marisa Buchheit and will be emceed by Roxane Assaf. Expected to draw a cultured, upwardly-mobile crowd, OperaRocks 2013 surely will be one of the most memorable events of the season.

WHAT:  Dinner and a show.  Audience members enjoy a buffet-style Italian dinner, followed by an opera concert featuring clothing designs by Rachel Frank

About VOT:

Verismo Opera Theater was founded by Artistic Director Bradley Schuller in 2010. The Mission of VOT is to engage audiences by producing relevant, truthful, and emotionally direct performances. This season, VOT presents OperaRocks in April, a fully staged production of La Traviata by Verdi in August (set in Oak Park with a Frank Lloyd Wright theme), and Mahler’s Das Lied von der Erde in November with a signature VOT ‘wildcard’ twist.
