Young, sassy, and full of creative energy, Maria knows how to take life by the horns. A native of the Chicagoland area, Maria has a colorful personality - in and out of work - that allows her to successfully meet and greet a wide-range of individuals from Boston to Los Angeles. Growing up, not only did she have the opportunity to regularly travel across the USA, she also had the chance to learn from her surroundings. Maria is a woman who embraces challenges while also keeping true to herself, her passion, and - ultimately - the goals important in her life.
Recently, PdM had the pleasure of of interacting with Maria, who resides in the heart of Chicago. Maria was styled and photographed at a local spot in Chicago's South Loop neighborhood, and believes the experience is only the beginning.

Maria is definitely a local gem. "I graduated from DePaul University with a concentration in Public Communication and Marketing", she mentioned. "My biggest accomplishment within my four years was to establish my very own organization for the Department called DePaul Communication Organization, (DCO). The skills and experience I learned from co-founding an organization got me well-prepared to be a leader, an innovator, and an event planner."
In addition to currently working a job related to her field of study, she also has quite a talent. "In my spare time I am a professional wedding singer, which has brought me to meet so many wonderful people over the years."

What is your daily routine: Wake up, shower, brush my teeth, and get ready for the day ahead of me. I try to not make every day the same as the day before.
What are some of your goals for 2013: Would like to get a new position in a different company for the experience. Definitely up for the challenge, whether it may be to move out of state or move to the suburbs. I would like to travel to South America, primarily Brazil, and maybe try to go to Cuba as well.
What is the best acting gig/opportunity you've had so far: My favorite acting gig was sophomore year of High School where I got the lead role in the play Diary of Anne Frank. Best experience ever! The emotions, the drama, the chemistry with everyone on the set was amazing. Best part, I was able to show my craft to everyone in my Sophomore class, because they got a special screening and I was the only Sophomore that got picked to be in the play!
Where would you like to travel for work: Anywhere outside of the United States. I have traveled significantly throughout the US growing up, but would like to see the world with all expenses paid by my employer. Now that would be amazing!
Best thing about Chicago: The diversity and culture behind all the fun neighborhoods, and deep dish pizza!
One thing you would change about Chicago: The weather!

Being beautiful is to show confidence in every step you take in life. People will automatically be enamored by your beauty if you know you got it yourself!
What are some of your goals for 2013: Would like to get a new position in a different company for the experience.
