Strong, determined, open-minded, and ready to diligently work on an international scale, Kilber Gutiérrez is our latest Global Model Series model. A native of Honduras, Kilber has traveled to Europe to compete in the Mr. World competition. This assertive beau strives to promote a healthy mind, body, and soul. Currently a college student that balances work, his studies, and a career in modeling, Kilber is a talented individual with many goals and aspirations.

"I like modeling, in particular the catwalk because of the glamor involved," Kilber mentioned. "However, there are some down sides because I have to be away from my family - the people I cherish most." Modeling is a field that requires diligence, time, and effort, and Kilber both the positive and the slightly inconvenient aspects of such an experience. "It's a challenge, and I know it's a short-lived career, but what I like the most (about modeling) is that I have the opportunity to interact with different cultures and a diverse group of people."

How did you get involved with modeling: I prepared myself to enter a new stage in my life so as to grow physically, mentally, and professionally through this field.
What is your daily routine: I work in the mornings and hit the gym afterwards. In the afternoon, I go to class and focus on my industrial engineering courses.

Goals for 2013: I want to become Mr. Universe 2013 and walk the runway in NYC.
What has been the best opportunity thus far with regards to your modeling career: I've had the pleasure of representing Honduras in the Mr. World competition in London and currently participate in the Mr. Universe 2013 competition. I've also been involved with the Latin Model Internacional competition in San Luis Potosí, Mexico.
Where would you like to travel for work: I want to work in New York City so as to walk to runway.

What are your impressions of Chicago: It's a city to live and lead-by. Due to the vibrant economy present, Chicago is always diversifying its business and cultural practices and is a prominent example of a modern city.
What do you love about Honduras: Its history, the cuisine, its culture, and the wonderful people.
Words of wisdom, advice for our audience: The physical aspect of man should not be valued, but instead the intellectual component one possesses.

Fuerte y decidido, de mente abierta, y dispuesto a trabajar a nivel internacional, Kilber Gutiérrez es el modelo más reciente de nuestra Serie de Modelo Internacional (Global Model Series). Originario de Honduras, Kilber ha viajado a Europa para competir en el concurso de Mister Mundo. Este chico asertivo no sólo cuida su cuerpo, sino también su mente. Actualmente, un estudiante universitario que encuentra un equilibrio en el trabajo, con sus estudios, y su carrera como modelo, Kilber es un hombre talentoso con muchas aspiraciones.

"Me gusta el modelaje de pasarela (porque) tiene glamour," comentó Kilber. "Pero también tiene retos porque tengo que estar separado de mi familia que son las personas que mas adoro en mi vida." El modelaje es un campo que requiere diligencia, tiempo y esfuerzo, y Kilber reconoce lo inconveniente y lo positivo de la experiencia. "Es difícil. También se que es una carrera corta, pero lo que más me gusta es que conozco varias culturas y personas."

Young, sassy, and full of creative energy, Maria knows how to take life by the horns. A native of the Chicagoland area, Maria has a colorful personality - in and out of work - that allows her to successfully meet and greet a wide-range of individuals from Boston to Los Angeles. Growing up, not only did she have the opportunity to regularly travel across the USA, she also had the chance to learn from her surroundings. Maria is a woman who embraces challenges while also keeping true to herself, her passion, and - ultimately - the goals important in her life.

Recently, PdM had the pleasure of of interacting with Maria, who resides in the heart of Chicago. Decked out in two of her favorite outfits, her look represents a blending of cultures that is fit for the diverse society Chicago offers the world. Maria was styled and photographed at a local spot in Chicago's South Loop neighborhood, and believes the experience is only the beginning.

Maria is definitely a local gem. "I graduated from DePaul University with a concentration in Public Communication and Marketing", she mentioned. "My biggest accomplishment within my four years was to establish my very own organization for the Department called DePaul Communication Organization, (DCO).  The skills and experience I learned from co-founding an organization got me well-prepared to be a leader, an innovator, and an event planner."

In addition to currently working a job related to her field of study, she also has quite a talent. "In my spare time I am a professional wedding singer, which has brought me to meet so many wonderful people over the years."

Where in the world have you lived/worked: I lived in India until I was 4 and 1/2

Role Model(s): My mom and my sister in law.

Hobbies: Singing, planning trips to visit new and exotic places, and to be a tourist and try something new whether it may be a restaurant or a cool venue.

How did you get involved in your line of work: Studied Public Communication in college and got lucky with the field I got into.  I also network daily with new and old contacts I have built since high school onward.

What is your daily routine: Wake up, shower, brush my teeth, and get ready for the day ahead of me. I try to not make every day the same as the day before.

What are some of your goals for 2013: Would like to get a new position in a different company for the experience. Definitely up for the challenge, whether it may be to move out of state or move to the suburbs. I would like to travel to South America, primarily Brazil, and maybe try to go to Cuba as well.

What is the best acting gig/opportunity you've had so far: My favorite acting gig was sophomore year of High School where I got the lead role in the play Diary of Anne Frank.  Best experience ever!  The emotions, the drama, the chemistry with everyone on the set was amazing.  Best part, I was able to show my craft to everyone in my Sophomore class, because they got a special screening and I was the only Sophomore that got picked to be in the play!

Where  would you like to travel for work: Anywhere outside of the United States. I have traveled significantly throughout the US growing up, but would like to see the world with all expenses paid by my employer. Now that would be amazing!

Best thing about Chicago: The diversity and culture behind all the fun neighborhoods, and deep dish pizza!

One thing you would change about Chicago: The weather!

Being beautiful is to show confidence in every step you take in life.  People will automatically be enamored by your beauty if you know you got it yourself!

Marc Jérôme Switala  is not only a model recognized across Europe, he is also an actor. In an exclusive interview with PdM, Marc Jérôme mentioned that he is currently a dual-core student in business and economics. Aside from being a student, he is a model-scout that strives to bring the best talent to the world.
