It appears that Kalamazoo has some of the most interesting, charismatic, and attractive models in the Midwest. Mike, a native of Michigan, works for a local artist in Kalamazoo and has recently been asked to model for local projects across the Midwest. "I've never thought of myself as a model," Mike mentioned. "But it appears to be a fun environment full of great people."

Mike, a native of Michigan, works for a local artist in Kalamazoo and has recently been asked to model for local projects across the Midwest. "I've never thought of myself as a model," Mike mentioned. "But it appears to be a fun environment full of great people."
Mike, who also goes by Miguel, is a mestizo, a person of mixed lineage. "My mother is Argentinean and my father is Mexican," he stated with a coquettish tone. "This means I'm 100% Latin, and everyone knows what that means."

Dream Job: I really like my current job, and I don't think I have a dream job per se. However, I would like to own my own business one day, perhaps in the hospitality industry.

Hobbies: I go to the gym 3-4 times a week, enjoy going for long runs, and love to try new foods with friends and family. I also really like playing guitar.
Favorite Travel Destination: I've traveled across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Argentina mainly, and I would have to say my favorite place for food is definitely Mexico City, but for good wine, relaxation, and some tango there is nothing that compares to Buenos Aires nights.
Most Memorable Travel Experience: I was 19 and traveled to my mother's hometown outside of Argentina by myself. While most of my friends were going to Florida or California for spring break, I went to Argentina to hang out with aunts and uncles. It was great because the legal drinking age out there is 18, so we spent most evenings sitting on their porch eating, drinking all sorts of wine, and sharing family stories. It also helped that it was 75 degrees at the time: we've got to love the southern hemisphere during our winter!

Share Something Interesting: I lower body is 3 times stronger than my upper body, and I love house music. I also prefer wine over beer, even if my friends from college tease me for it.
Advice/Wisdom for Our Viewers: Dream big, work hard(er). Dreams are beautiful because they allow our creativity to soar, but if we don't do anything to make them a reality they will always be a dream. Have a goal and strive to do your best to bring them to life.

It didn't take PdM very long to see how natural Mike was at striking a pose for the camera. His experience as a still-life model appears to have helped him align himself with both his creative energy and the right strut.
As we were finishing the shoot, Mike decided to take a break on the couch. He looked so natural, so calm. "Don't mind me," he stated with a grin on his face. "I'm just stretching a bit before I have to go back to the studio and pose for 2 hours."
While Mike doesn't think that modeling is something he would like to pursuit professionally, it is an opportunity that is knocking on his door. "I know that it's a fun environment to be in, but I don't know how that fits in to my plans for the future," Mike stated. "In the meantime, I'm enjoying my apprenticeship and loving the attention I get when I have to strike a pose for the art students: they're a witty bunch."
