CHICAGO - On October 13, 2013, founder Laura Elvis and Executive Producer Christy Collins, of Collins Design &Co., along with a team of talented and creative people, are excited produce The Victorian Ball in the 21st Century at Parliament Chicago Night Club. Starting at 8pm, this collaboration will merge the Victorian era into the 21st Century. The Victorian Ball features some of Chicago’s Fashion, Photography, Music and Visual Art. These four categories will be portrayed and executed in live and interactive expeditions, throughout the evening, in true
Collins form.
The Parliament, 324 W. Chicago, is a high-so club and lounge that will elevate this homage to Chicago's art by integrating contemporary style with timeless class. Collins Designs & Co. is excited to showcase Laura Elvis' vision of a Victorian Age incorporated with the modern arts. All guests are encouraged to attend the Ball dressed in their best fashion representation of what the Victorian era means to them in the 21st Century, while adding a flare of Marie Antoinette.
This means PdM and all the sassy gals and slick gents will flirt with a steam punk platform, suggesting a future that never was. Participants will wear period costumes set to the present beat of Chicago’s underground House
music, fusing two different worlds where deep soulful bass will keep those Victorian gowns and
human hearts fluffed to perfection all night long. Paired with mood lighting, PdM invites everyone to
come embrace an overall visually striking experience. We will showcase specialty drinks with a
flare-up taste of France.
Attendees are encouraged to flirt, mingle, and dance the night away while indulging in enchanting entertainment, music, elixirs, fashion, and more! Tickets are still available for purchase, so come one and all for a memorable evening to be captured via PdM!
