NEXT FASHION CHICAGO RETURNS FOR ITS SECOND YEAR
CHICAGO - Returning for its second year, one of this year's hottest Fashion Focus Chicago design events is NEXT FASHION CHICAGO 2012 which will be held on Tuesday, October 16 at Germania Place located in Chicago's Gold Coast.
Under the umbrella of the City of Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, Fashion Focus Chicago returns for its eight year October 15 – 21. A celebration highlighting Chicago’s vibrant fashion industry’s top fashion talent, the week-long extravaganza has grown into a city-wide happening with numerous fashion events, runway shows, shopping incentives, panel discussions and more.
Watch 312.com and the Chicago Tribune’s Candid Candace, Candace Jordan and NBC 5's Marcus Riley will emcee NEXT FASHION CHICAGO again this year. Mandel Productions along with associate producer, Marco Foster, will produce the event and runway show featuring twelve exciting participants showcasing contemporary, cocktail and couture collections. The designers include Mark Roscoe Designs, Mira Couture, Cory Tran Fraley Le, Sahar Dada and Cleons Clothing Co., among others. A segment of the show will include adoptable rescue dogs walking the runway with the models. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to PAWS Chicago. NEXT FASHION CHICAGO kicks off with a private cocktail reception at 6:30 with the designers, boutique participants, host committee and members of the media, the runway show at 8:00, followed by an after-party.
Megan Ervin, Miss Illinois America and Ashley Hooks, Miss Illinois USA will make special appearances, along with Chicago Bear Israel Idonije. A spectacular host committee for the event includes NBC Chicago GM, Larry Wert, Chicago Bears wives, Michi Marshall and Zingha Hester, Latino Fashion Week cofounders,
Arabel Alva Rosales and Cesar Rolan and many other high profile Chicago-area people.
