Champagne, gorgeous ladies adorned in Victorian wear, and plenty of savory sweet treats were only some of the decadent mentions that were a part of The Victorian Ball in the 21st Century at Parliament Chicago. The creative minds of Laura Elvis and Christy Collins of Christy Collins Design and Co. invited guests to an evening of charm, grace, and plenty of flirtation as attendees were enticed by the rhythm and beats of the divine CZ Boogie while enjoying tequila-infused delights by Sandy Cakes.

The evening began with attendees gathering in Parliament's nouveau-chic ambiance while being greeted by beautiful ladies decked in the Victorian era's promising style. Sweet delights of a varying sort made the developments throughout the evening that much more dolce.
Un affair a la Victorian could not be complete without succulent champagne for VIP insiders.
Designers, fashion-gurus, public relations insiders, politicos, and models came together to celebrate life, happiness, and plenty of bubbly.
Congressional Candidate Jorge G. Zavala and DJ CZ Boogie, wearing a beautiful Rachel Frank design, took a moment to smile for the camera.
While the beats kept everyone in full-soiree mode, the bar poured drinks for all to enjoy while guests had the opportunity to enjoy alcohol-infused cupcakes.
The magic of the evening continued to unfold as the essential concepts to the Victorian aesthetic were present: photography, fashion, joie de vivre, and voulez. Global Fashionista Ogilvie made note that the evening was "splendid, reflective of the enchanting (Victorian) era."
The Victorian Ball in the 21st Century delivered what it promised, and then exceeded expectations. Felicitations Christy Collins and Laura Elvis on a wonderful production. We look forward to next year's soiree.
